Meet Dr. Steve Folstad

After earning his medical degree at the Baylor College of Medicine, Dr. Folstad pursued an emergency medicine residency at Wake Forest University Baptist Medical Center, where he served as Chief Resident.

Board-certified in Emergency Medicine and in Venous and Lymphatic Medicine, Dr. Folstad is a diplomate of the American Board of Venous and Lymphatic Medicine. Prior to starting at Vein Clinics of America, Dr. Folstad was a Principal at Carolina Vein Associates in Mooresville, NC.

Dr. Folstad has also served as Assistant Professor at Wake Forest University School of Medicine and Director of the Emergency Medicine Residency Program, as well as Attending Physician in the emergency departments at multiple North Carolina hospitals. He is proud to put his decades of experience to work for you.
