Vein Clinics of America - Kansas City
Varicose veins can be unsightly and embarrassing, but they’re more than a cosmetic problem. Vein disease is progressive and can worsen if left untreated. That’s why it’s important to seek treatment now at Vein Clinics of America (VCA) in Overland Park. We offer two non-surgical vein removal procedures: Sclerotherapy and Endovenous Laser Treatment (ELT).
During your initial comprehensive consultation, Captain K. Gray, MD, will diagnose your condition, prescribe a treatment plan and take the time to answer all of your questions.
Both of VCA’s non-surgical treatments are performed in our Overland Park clinic with no need for hospitalization, anesthesia or complicated surgery. Plus, there’s very little down time. Most patients are back on their feet the same day.
ELT, commonly known as “laser vein removal,” or “laser vein therapy,” is an advanced treatment using a thin fiber optic that is inserted into the affected vein. The laser energy seals the vein from within. Blood flow is then redirected to other healthy veins. Sclerotherapy involves injection of an FDA-approved medication that seals the abnormal veins from the rest of the vein network. As with ELT, blood flow is then redirected to healthy veins.
To find out more about both treatments and to schedule your consultation with Dr. Gray, give us a call today. You can get rid of those unsightly veins before they get worse. VCA welcomes patients from Kansas City, Lawrence and Topeka.
