Meet Dr. Philip Chaipis, MD, FACS
Dr. Philip Chaipis is a skilled surgeon with 25 years of experience in General, Vascular and Endovascular Surgery. He is board-certified by the American Board of Surgery. Dr. Chaipis recently served eight years as Section Chief of General Surgery at the William Bryan Jennings Dorn VA Medical Center, Columbia, South Carolina. He is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Surgery, at the University of South Carolina School of Medicine.
After earning his medical degree from the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey, Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. (Rutgers Medical School), Piscataway, New Jersey. Dr. Chaipis completed his general surgery internship and residency training at Saint Francis Medical Center, Department of Surgery, Trenton, New Jersey.
