Meet Dr. Michael Cornwell
Howard and Yale graduate Michael Cornwell, MD, FACS, is the recipient of numerous academic awards, including the Dr. Charles R. Drew Award and the Dr. Claude L. Cowman Pioneer Award. After completing his education, Dr. Cornwell embarked on residency training at Emory University, where he rose through the ranks to become Chief Resident of General Surgery. In 2000, he earned his certification from the American Board of Surgery.
In his spare time, Dr. Cornwell plays multiple sports, including basketball, football, and baseball. He spends as much time as possible with his daughter Mikaela.
