Laser therapy is best suited for spider veins and smaller varicose veins.

Through the use of a focused but gentle beam of light, the affected blood vessel is heated and destroyed during laser therapy so that it disappears.
Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) therapy is a fairly new treatment developed that sends pulses of light to the affected vein. Like sclerotherapy, this procedure can be performed in a physician’s office. It may be used in combination with sclerotherapy, and it usually requires several sessions to optimize results. The amount of time it takes for results to be noticeable ranges anywhere from several weeks to several months after treatment.
